| 9600 Microprocessor Weld Controller | ||
|
The 9600 Microprocessor Welding Control can be used with circumferential and longitudinal welding applications. For longitudinal welding a 9627 control would be used, and a 9640 control for circumferential welding. The 9600 series Microprocessor Welding Controls have similar capabilities PLC Controls, but offer a more user friendly interface. The 9600 series controls are designed to provide sequencing for a travel device and a welding process. The control incorporates a solid state motor control that can operate 1/10 to 1/2 HP, permanent magnet motors. The 9600 series controls can be used in TIG, MIG, Plasma, and Sub Arc welding applications. The 9600 series controls are software driven and
use a backlit LCD display for the operator’s reference. The controls
include two touch sensitive pads that allow the operator to scroll
through the menu options and then adjust and set the parameters
through a control knob. Speed settings, start delays and stop delays
are all set and stored with the actual values displayed. During
welding the control will display the actual travel or rotation speed
if the travel device motor includes a tach generator and output to the
control. Two additional touch sensitive pads are located in the
lower right hand corner of the panel providing travel jog capability. Jog
speeds for forward and reverse jog are independently adjustable. For
welding in the automatic mode, optional home and stop limit
switches and adjustable cams can be provided.
