Aluminum Wheel Welder

Application:

Welding of aluminum wheels for the after-market automotive industry.

Process:

The system is used with the MIG welding process.

Capacity:

The systems are manufactured to suit your wheel sizes.

Description:

The two-torch aluminum wheel welding system consists of a rigid frame on which are mounted the rotational turntable and the welding head.

The turntable is equipped with tooling to hole and center the wheel. The welding head is equipped with two MIG welding torches; these are lowered into the wheel at the start of the weld sequence. When the torches are in position, the arcs are started and the wheel rotates through just over 180 degrees. The use of two torched eliminates distortion and maintains correct wheel balance.

The weld process is completely automatic and is initiated by the operator pressing two palm buttons. High quality MIG feeders with power supplies providing pulsed output ensure the highest possible weld quality.
