Circumferential Weld Lathes


Jetline circumferential welding lathes are available in 3 models, for a wide range of automated applications using any arc welding process:

  • CW5 Welding Lathe accommodates work pieces up to 240" (6,100 mm) long with diameters up to 60" (1,500 mm), weighing up to 5,000 lb. (2,250 kg) or, as an option, as much as 10,000 lb. (4,500 kg).
     

  • The smaller CWL Weld Lathe is designed for use with parts up to 240" (6,100 mm) long with diameters up to 30" (750 mm), weighing up to 1,000 lb. (450 kg).
     

  • The CWB weld lathes, which are available in two sizes, are designed for use with parts up to 180" (4,575 mm) long with diameters up to 30" (750 mm), weighing up to 1,000 lb. (450 kg).
     

Advanced standard features.

All models include solid-state microprocessor controls that are field proven in welding service and are well protected against high frequency interference.

The full-length side beam track with travel carriage permits welding gear to be positioned along the entire span. The tailstock provides 6" (150 mm) of clamping motion, with variable pneumatic pressure to maintain an accurate, tight fit of the assembled parts during welding.

On the CWL and CW5 models, it is possible to use two or more powered or non powered travel carriages to carry multiple weld heads to improve productivity.

All models are equipped with machined faceplates with tooling slots to locate your tooling - chucks, collets and special tooling can be supplied if required.

The Jetline range of circumferential welding machines provides you with the basic product for the customization of your own integrated automated welding system. Any model can be married with one of Jetline's range of controls including seam trackers, arc length (Voltage) controls, cold wire feeders, motorized slides, weld oscillators and microprocessor system controllers.

Jetline welding lathes can be provided with MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), PAW (Plasma arc welding), Subarc (submerged arc welding) SUB ARC.

 A Jetline Circumferential Weld Lathe such as the CWL can be supplied with powered or nonpowered travel carriages on the side beam (side beam).

 Jetline Welding Lathes can be interfaced with seam trackers, mechanic and magnetic weld oscillators, arc voltage controls, cold wire tig feeders, hot wire tig feeder for a fully mechanized system.

 Jetline Circumferential Welding Fixtures can be used with the 9600 or 9500 microprocessor controls for a full mechanized weld.
