CS1-12 Coil Splicer

Application:
Joining of strip for continuous processes.

Process:

The system is used primarily with the TIG welding process and can also be used with plasma welding.

Capacity:

Strip widths up to 12" (300 mm)
Strip thickness up to 1/16" (1.6 mm)
(Other width capacities are available)

Description:

When strip is being fed from a coil to feed a continuous manufacturing purpose, it is often necessary to join the end of an old coil to the start of a new coil to maintain the feed through the manufacturing equipment.

The Jetline coil splicer is ideal for this purpose. The system consists of a small longitudinal seamwelder and a matching shear. The whole system is mounted on a portable cart; this permits it to be moved in and out of the strip line. The cart carries the welding power supply.
