| Use:
Welding of hydraulic cylinder rods
Material:
Carbon Steel
Process:
DC, Constant Potential Submerged Arc Welding
Capacity: 1,000 lbs. (450 kg) part weight (models available with 2,000 lbs. (900 kg) part weight capacity).
48" (1,200 mm) long parts (systems available with part lengths of up to 240" (6,000 mm).
30" (750 mm) maximum diameter (extra height available on application)
Description: The system has a powered headstock and an air-operated tailstock to hold the part for welding. Both the headstock and tailstock are fitted with water-cooled tooling to hold the part and to avoid overheating of the fixture during the welding operation.
Mounted behind the rotating fixture is a Jetline TKMV heavy-duty track system, this carries the submerged arc welding head with the flux hopper. A flux recovery system is included. The flux tank is mounted high over the system to provide a smooth flow of flux to the hopper.
Applications:
The CWL can also be used for the following submerged arc welding applications:
Automotive axles
Air compressor tanks
Hydraulic cylinders
