		Weld Process, Axis Control and Data Acquisition provide the ultimate control. The Jetstar Computer Controller is a PC-based control suitable for use with any arc or high power process. It uses the latest PC technology and couples it with custom-written software to provide exceptional control over the entire welding procedure on even the most demanding application. The Jetstar Computer Controller is mounted in a rack-mount enclosure which is sealed to permit its use in the welding environment. High-quality electrical isolation protects the computer from electrical interference. A large color monitor with high definition graphics provides a clear view of the welding procedure before, during and after the welding operation. A sealed, full-size keyboard is use for data entry. Custom-written software controls the Jetstar in its three major operating areas: Weld Process Control Software permits weld procedures to be set up and recorded for welds requiring up to six or more parameters. Upslope, downslope, taper and constant levels can be set for successive weld periods. Multi-pass welding is achieved by changes in the parameters based upon time or distance. The system will control one or more power supplies, arc length controls, wire feeders, travel devices and gas controls. Closed loop control is used to provide a high level of accuracy. Axis Control Software allows the Jetstar to control up to six axes of motion. Torch position can be defined as a series of coordinates. During welding, the torch is moved and located according to the preprogrammed positions. Torch oscillation is a feature of this software module. Data Acquisition Software permits a record to be made of all the actual weld levels as the weld proceeds Samples of all the parameters are taken at selectable intervals and recorded on the system’s hard drive.
