Description:
This planisher is designed for thinner materials and smaller applications. It consists of a fixed lower planishing wheel that is power-rotated and a swinging upper arm that carries a freely rotating upper planishing wheel.
Planishing is controlled by a double-acting footswitch, the first depression of the switch causes the planishing wheels to be brought together under planishing pressure, further depression of the footswitch causes the planishing wheels to be rotated to "pull" the material to be planished through the wheels.
Planishing speed is adjustable though the variable speed DC motor, planishing pressure can also be adjusted for various applications. A mechanical stop is adjustable to prevent over-planishing of soft materials.
The unit illustrated is mounted on an optional base, wheel profiles can be ground to customer’s specifications.
This type of planisher can be offered in combination with a coil splicer. This is ideal for the joining of strip for continuous processes, especially where there must be no weld crown to damage subsequent processing machinery.
