For "perfect" welding of titanium and other refractory materials
Jetline chambers are designed to provide an inert atmosphere for the welding of materials subject to oxidation. They are available in sizes from 36" to 72" (900 to 1,800 mm).
Two models are available to cover all types of applications:
Purge Type
Welding Chamber
This model uses a square table design to provide more working area inside the chamber. The table is ground flat and supports a rigid Plexiglas dome. The dome is hinged and counterbalanced to permit the loading and unloading of parts. The inert atmosphere is created by the purging of the chamber with Argon gas.
Vacuum-Assist
Welding Chamber
For the most demanding applications and where complex parts need to be welded, the vacuum-assisted model is the ideal choice. This model utilizes a steel riser with glove ports; this supports a hemispherical, Plexiglas dome. After the parts have been loaded, the air is quickly removed by a vacuum pump. The chamber is then filled with inert gas for welding.
All
Welding Chambers include the following features:
-
Excellent visibility through the polished Plexiglas
dome.
-
Glove assemblies with flexible, accordion type sleeves
and replaceable glove portion.
-
Apparatus well built into the tabletop provides
fittings for gas and water hoses and welding cables.
-
Two pairs of glove assemblies are standard with each
chamber.
A number of optional items are available including risers for additional working height, and entry vestibules.
