WELDING MANIPULATOR

Application:

Welding Manipulators position welding head during welding.

Process:

The system can be used to carry any welding process, including MIG, TIG, SUB ARC, and Plasma arc welding applications.

Capacity:

Standard elevation is 48" (1,250 mm).
Standard boom reach is 36" (900 mm).
Can carry up to 300 lbs. (135 kg)

Description:

The Welding Manipulator illustrated is a standard model complete with a king pin base.

Welding manipulators are used to hold a welding head and to permit the head to be located at various points over the weld area. The head is mounted on the end of a boom that can be lifted and lowered. The boom can also be extended out to reach over the part to be welded.

All Jetline welding manipulators feature machined ways with hardened tracks. This means that any of the movements, either elevation or reach, can be used as a precision travel axis.

Elevation is powered using a variable speed DC motor driving a leadscrew. Safety facilities are provided to ensure operator safety and prevent a rapid vertical descent of the boom. Boom reach is manual with a locking screw but can be powered using a linear drive (as illustrated) if required.

The precision design of the Jetline welding manipulator makes it an ideal tool for use with TIG and plasma welding operations; its weight carrying capacity makes it also suitable for use in MIG and submerged arc applications.

Various options are available including the king pin base that is illustrated as well as travel cars and special motors.
